and the steeply rising and falling of the path make this my favourite section of The Wall

thousands of them descend on The Farne Islands

so I was prompted to create a painting of it

Several days of torrential rain, turned the hillside bracken to a rich dark burgundy colour. Then when the sun finally returned, these sombre colours transformed into bright flame oranges.
