Chaxa - Espresso Cup (small) color:orange & red filled with fresh flowersEach Chaxa Mug is a small sculpture in daily life. Hand built in my studio, this cup plays with bold contrasts and graphic shapes. No two pieces are exactly the same and that is the beauty of handcraft. About Chaxa : ( pronounced Cha k sa ) is inspired by the Laguna Chaxa in the Atacama Desert in Chile, a place where vibrant colors, natural textures an quiet landscapes meet. Just like my ceramics, it's a fusion of nature, simplicity and strong forms.
