浅草の皮革業者と共同開発した国産撥水レザーを採用。一般的な表面加工ではなく、なめしの段階で撥水剤を革の内部まで浸透させることで、持続性の高い撥水性能を実現。

創業当初は自転車の製造を手掛けておりましたが、1930年代にはモーターサイクル本体のほか、ウェアやアクセサリーの取り扱いへと事業を拡大し、1950年代には「HIGHWAYMAN」 ブランドとしてレザーウェアの製造・販売を開始いたしました。
