Fern Flora 12x16 inches coral me and my two sistersWhile hiking the historic Inca Trail on the way to Machu Picchu my husband and I passed through lush rainforests. We saw large ferns that grew over the sides of the mountain's path and sprawled downwards like huge feathers. When the rain stopped I took some photos as the sun peeked through the clouds, making the water droplets that stuck to the ferns sparkle. After the trip I chose this composition to paint.
