British Columbia a few years ago I captured this image of a yellow flower while visiting Butchart Gardens

By being low to the ground the footprints leading towards the building became my central focus to place the viewer in the scene itself and lead them towards the decorated City and County Building

Once I found the location again I searched nearby for better areas and set-up my tripod be aware of small cactus in the area as well

On this day it was a little less crowded which allowed me to get closer and spend more time at the sculpture

This area was once home to the Lowry Air Force Base and over the past fifteen years it has been redeveloped into a new neighborhood

Abstract Flower Building British Columbia a few yearsThere is something to be said about the magnitude of the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada. A few years ago I visited the gardens and it is one of those places you can spend all day with your camera. After a while I focused my efforts on using a macro lens in the rose gardens and looking for interesting elements in the flowers themselves which is the above image.
