Nous sommes gentils / When We Are Kind (FR) 2015 Ross Annett Award for Children’sNous sommes gentils is the French version of When We Are Kind, a childrens picture book by Monique Gray Smith of Cree, Lakota and Scottish ancestry; and illustrated by Nicole Neidhardt, who is Din (Navajo) on her mothers side and a blend of European ancestry on her fathers side. When We Are Kind celebrates simple acts of everyday kindness and encourages children to explore how they feel when they initiate and receive acts of kindness in their lives.
