The pottery has a rich brown glaze with a very high sheen, and is nicely detailed. The man is depicted wearing a military type sash and a medal, with the medal repeated on the plinth of the bust. His hair is pulled back in a tail and he is wearing a neck stock, and has the look of an important 18th century historical figure akin to George Washington, we just don't recognize him. If
