Antique Prie Dieu Chair, Victorian Rosewood c.1850 Iron serpentine apronOur Stock # 10. 1491 This is an antique prie dieu dating to the early Victorian period, c. 1850. Raised on turned front legs and swept rear, all riding upon the original brass castors, this attractive chair is framed in rosewood contrasting beautifully with the cream needlepoint upholstery. Traditionally stuffed, the seat pad is in good order decorated, along with the back panel, with a rich tapestry of flora and fauna in mellow pastel shades. The
