2023 $1 Aussie Big Things The Big Banana PNC PNCs - $1 2011’ and ‘HThe massive 13 metre long Big Banana is situated in an amusement park and banana plantation on the Pacific Highway, just north of Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. Opened in 1964. Built by Alan Harvey using timber framed ferroconcrete, it was the brainchild of John Landi, who travelled to Australia from USA to study the insects that attack banana plants. A local engineer, Alan Chapman, designed the giant sculpture from a concept by John Landi by taking
