This listing is for a black bamboo chasen produced for Chikumeido. The chasen is tulip shaped and split from one piece of bamboo into 100 small prongs. Chasen tend to have either 80 or 100 tines, the 100 tine type are considered to be better because more prongs result in more foam and a better frothy texture. It comes with a plastic storage
