Magazine Exterior Path Colour:Raw The building opened as AsahiA concrete path runs along the exterior wall of a magazine building at Newington Armament Depot and Nature Reserve, its utilitarian surface edged by vegetation pressing in from the surrounding grounds. These Federation face brick structures were built from 1897 to store gunpowder, shells, and explosives for the Royal Australian Navy, with earth banks raised around them to contain any accidental blast.
