Johann David Steingruber (17021787) created his Architectural Alphabet ( 'Architektonisches Alphabeth bestehend aus 30 Rissen') in 1773. It's a marvellous collection of imaginary buildings, each shaped like a letter of the alphabet. Never (yet!) built, these are palaces of Steingruber's imagination a world of endless
