This print was taken from a tree that was planted 100 years ago at Hui Ho Olana on Molokai by a member of the Cooke family of Hawaii

and myself who stood knee deep in salt water

I loved the shape of this Red Cedar fragment and was AMAZED after printing it and then counting the years

I was lucky enough to print its right eye the next day in memory of this beautiful creature that perished due to changes in the climate that rendered the Gulf of Alaska much too hot to sustain the Krill that Grey Whales thrive upon
