The color of the feathers is a true black and they are wonderfully fluffy and soft. It has a fur hook to close it at the neck and the sleeves are long and cut fairly straight so that the balance the cropped cut of the jacket. I love this short cropped feel and the volume it creates to perfectly balance out wearing something slim underneath.
