I am the the first and only British screenprinter to have permission from French publisher Editions Albert Rene to use their archive of images for my work

Popeye was originally a minor character in a strip syndicated in American newspapers called Thimble Theatre

and perhaps this is because I’m a bloke

I tend to choose material from this era because it was the time I was growing up and my tastes and preferences were being formed
