Cactus Silk (Sabra) Handmade Cushion Cover Blue Handmade Made in PortugalSize (cm) 48 x 46 Cactus Silk is otherwise known as "Sabra" is loomed by hand from fibers found in the Agave Cacti or Saharan Aloe Vera. The process of creating this strong fabric involves crushing and soaking cacti leaves until the fibers disperse. Then fibers are spun by hand the old fashion style with the silk hanging off the wall and using twisters to tease fibers into a fine thread. The silk is then coloured using vegetable dyes and hand woven on
