The lace is backed in a fine silk dyed that has been dyed to match the light pastel silver grey tone in the lace perfectly

This gives the entire gown a feeling of airiness and lightness as the chiffon moves lightly as you move

It is made from a fluid nylon jersey that drapes and moves fabulously

Rare c1970 Yves Saint Laurent Black Ostrich Feather Coat designer-michael-novarese Item# A287Yves Saint Laurent feather coats are rare but the ones that are made from the ostrich feathers rather then the more typically seen down feather ones are the holy grail. This one, in black, in especially wonderful and a very rare find. A similar version in black and white resides in the Museum of Bath and was displayed in 2013 in the exhibit "50 Fabulous Frocks". There is also a photo showing Yves with ballerina Margot Fonteyn who owned the museum
